Rosie Posie

02. 04. 2011. (Cotonceilidh Mr. Bojangles x Coppercotons Dazzler)

Cotonmist Rosie Posie came to us in June 2011 from Heather and Ian Hockley, she was bought as a companion for Fluffy. Fluffy didn't like staying at home alone so Rosie was brought in to keep him company. We'd see how much fun Fluffy would have playing with other dogs so it was only fair to get him a more permanent companion.

What we didn't count on was that she was going to be really beautiful and a bit of a diva who liked to be a centre of attention. So we started doing a few shows to see if she would like it. She loved it! Rosie was a star, she thought everybody came to see her only! She's very quiet at home, likes to sleep and to cuddle with you and to watch TV, but once out, she simply blossoms and starts wiggling her bum to anyone who even glances at her. She loves running and is deceptively fast!

Rosie likes everyone and she especially enjoys shows, it's our special time together. It's not a surprise that she's done quite well so far. We haven't done many shows due to my personal circumstances, but the ones we did, she ended up winning her classes and qualifying for Crufts and also winning her class at Crufts. We are hopefully going again next year so the little madam can show off more.

Princess Rosie is a very feminine girl who has a profuse coat which is surprisingly easy to look after. Even though she's a show dog, she does like to get dirty and run around. If I catch her rolling in bird poo and tell her off, she will actually get embarrassed and hide! She is a lady! She is a truly wonderful character and I'm very blessed to start my breeding with such a lovely girl.

Beauty and temperament aside, I also pay a lot of attention to health, and Rosie is regularly having tests done on eyes and patella, and has had DNA tests for BNAt and CMR2.
